Can you confirm if there is still the requirement to use the upright sign 638 alongside road marking 1020.1 given that the road marking indicates at any time? The vertical signs "No loading at any time" are now optional when there are double kerb blips. (And arguably the kerb blips are optional when the vertical signs are used). This was one of the reasons for breaking the legal link between signs and markings (in most, but not all cases) - to give the traffic authorities the freedom to decide what signing to use.
