It appeared on the DfT website this moning (23 Feb). The cover originally had the year "2009" on it, but that's now been corrected. You can download it here.

The graphics are not as good as other chapters and parts, presumably because CAD was used in their production, rather than the crisp vector graphics that are available with a different leading sign design package!

BrynBuck
February 2017

Not very often that I've cause to use this, but it is good to see that the new slimmer designs are finally being brought into use.

As we've spoken about previously, temporary traffic signing is usually terrible, and I'm hoping that this guidance might temper some of the worst excesses; the equivalent of War and Peace translated onto a 1050 x 750 sign (37.5mm x-height usually too!) mounted on a standard frame springs to mind.

Now the real task is getting local authorities and their street works departments to be far more rigorous in ensuring TM contractors are on top of their game.
