<description><![CDATA[Whilst not mandatory unless specified in contracts it would not really be suitable for this type of equipment as the qualifications within the scheme centres on road use only.  It is possible to create a qualification for this equipment if the demand was high enough. It could then be added to the current scheme.<br /><br />The mandatory requirement would rest with HASAWA/PUWER for adequate training.  Hope this helps<br />]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[i agree with above given that the uptake for using such vehicles in pedestrian areas such as footpaths , requires some thought to legality of using vehicles on these areas. i was a advocate and did set up a a gator and brine/ spray tank for footways and pedestrian area , its use limited to early morning use (04:00-07:00)  to avoid the pedestrian conflict as much as possible. ]]></description>
